Dashing in the snow...

We had our 1st round of snow shower plus freezing rain today and with yet another round of wintry weather set to make its way across the Tri-State, residents are working to clear away the byproducts of last night's first wave — ice from freezing rain that coated everything it touched. More freezing rain, snow and sleet will fall later today and overnight tonight before the storm finally clears the Ohio Valley by midday Wednesday morning. A winter storm warning continues for nearly the entire region through noon CST Wednesday. Evansville received less snow overnight than expected, largely because more freezing rain and sleet fell in the metro area than anticipated. It looks less like a winter wonderland out there, and more like an icy mess. The National Weather Service reported a combination of ice and sleet on Evansville streets, compacted to a total of 1.5 inches. In Western Kentucky, the situation was much worse — In Madisonville and Greenville, where large parts of those communities are without power as freezing rain has weighed on tree branches and power lines, causing electrical outages.
Here are some pictures taken today. Enjoy!
