Yellow Rice (Nasi Kuning)

Yesterday, I have been craving for nasi kuning (yellow rice) and thought I could do it with whatever ingredients that I have in my pantry and fridge.
Here is the outcome...


Ingredients

(1) tablespoon of kokita Nasi Kuning seasoning

(3) cups of rice washed

(1) teaspoon of minced garlic

(1/2) teaspoon of salt (optional)

Marinate chicken parts in dashes of


tumeric,
ground pepper,
minced garlic
and add a tablespoon of flour and marinate for 15 minutes.


Directions;

(1) Wash 3 cups of rice
(2) Mixed with kokita Nasi Kuning seasoning paste
(3) Add minced garlic
(4) Add 300 ml of water in rice cooker (or more if needed)
(5) Steam rice until cooked


Optional:

You can also served yellow rice with cucumber, sliced omelette, or instead of using chicken parts you can also use stir fry sambal shrimp, sambal squid or beef or chicken rendang. Yummmie!
