Where I came from, most people would do their laundry by hands and hang their clothes out to dry on a cloth line outside their house, but most people who lives in the tropical region now have washer and dryer and those outdated style are no longer heard of. Just recently I went back home for a short trip to visit my mom and their washer had just recently broke and for a couple of days I was trying my best to do it the old ways, ooohhhh man! I thought my back and my butt was about to break in 2 places. It was hard and it about got me killed! The next day, I got my younger brother to drive me to a shopping mall and I got my mom a new washer, which is 10x better than doing it the primitive way (as I called it!) She was so happy and I got my brother to show her how to use it. Frankly speaking, not so many people are interested in reading all the detailed instructions in the brochure but it helps keeps our clothes in perfect order when doing the laundry. Just last weekend, I asked my dear husband to put our clothes in the laundry and I was shocked that he have no idea at all of how to separate the colors nor what level of washing the clothes needed! Shocking huh! The 'cute' thing he did was put all the clothes in the washer and walked off! I came back and told him, 'is the clothes going to wash itself' without you even turning the power button on'?? I was shocked!! His answer was, I've never done it before! My snappy answer to him was, 'are you not interested in knowing' what your appliances in the house can do? Some people are just not interested until it hurts their 'pockets'. I bet if our washer doesn't work, he would have got us a new one without checking to see if we can fix it.
Tips: (1) sort and separate colors from whites
